Privacy policy

Last updated October 26, 2026

This policy explains how Impactplexus ("we") handles personal information on this website, in the public API, and in the Impact Plexus MCP server. The signed-in Impact Plexus application is covered by this policy and by your organization's agreement with us. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law.

What we collect on the public website, API and MCP server

  • No account is needed and we do not ask for your name or email.
  • Our servers record technical request data (IP address, time, page or tool requested, browser or client type) to keep the service running, prevent abuse and enforce rate limits. We keep these logs for a short period and do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
  • This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
  • If you email us, we keep your message and address to answer you.

Information about funders

Funder pages describe organizations, not private individuals. They are built from public registries (CRA charity returns, IRS filings, Grants.gov) and from funder listings we hold under subscription. Contact details shown are the organization's public business contact details. An organization can ask us to correct its information by writing to support@impactplexus.com.

Using Impact Plexus through an AI assistant

When you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to the Impact Plexus MCP server, your questions are sent by your assistant to us, and our answers are returned to your assistant. Your assistant's provider handles that conversation under your agreement with them. Public tools return only public funder information. Do not include personal or confidential information in questions sent to public tools.

The signed-in application

Information your organization adds to the application (projects, pipelines, notes and documents) is private to your organization. It is not shown on this website or through public tools. It is shared with a connected AI assistant only after your organization enables that connection, and you can revoke it at any time.

Where information is stored

We use service providers in Canada and the United States, including cloud hosting and content delivery. They process information on our behalf.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to our privacy contact at support@impactplexus.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

We will post any change here with a new date. Material changes affecting signed-in customers will also be sent to them.
